Sew’N’Sews, a relatively small, Vernon quilt guild, through former member Linda Hancock, now working in Kuwait, accepted a block exchange with a group of ladies (not necessarily quilters) in Kuwait, producing 20 blocks, most showing some aspect of Canadian culture, including the maple leaf, the apple, snowmen, and Canadian wildlife, later receiving a batch of blocks made by the Kuwait women. |

| The Sicamous Keepsake Kwilters have used the Sicamous Mouse to promote their 2007 quilt show. The happy little mouse has been used by the Sicamous Chamber of Commerce in it's promotions since it was invented by a local restauranteur in 1962 and it has been used as an official village mascot since 1968. |

| Made
by the Abbotsford QG this CCRP quilt was presented to
Mrs. Berry and her son by General Romses at a special
ceremony on November 14th at Canada House in London
England, a temporary?measure until a ?quilt made by a
group of quilters in Whitehorse, Yukon was delivered
after being delayed in transit. |

| Made
by members of Prince George QG this CCRP quilt was given
to the family of Corporal Paul Davis, a 28-year old from
Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He and his wife Melanie have
two daughters, three and five years old. Cpl. Davis was
the ninth Canadian soldier to die in Afghanistan. |
|
| The
Kelowna Orchard Valley QG (OVQG) CCRP quilt was created
by 23 guild members coordinated by Wanda Lebedkin, Betty
Lowery and Val McPhedran. It was machine quilted by
member Darlene Friesen.?The label, listing all the
members who participated in making the quilt, was made
and donated by Karen Gibson, guild member. |
